feeding the beast

It's only once you start that you realise just how hungry the beast is. Daily updates can be demanding but with a little planning, you can get into the habit of collecting great content wherever you find yourself.

By following a few basic steps your posts will soon become a habit.
  1. A journey of a thousand steps starts with one. You'll not get to where you want to be without starting, so do so. Pick a date, tomorrow's good, right now is best and put out your first bit of content. Tomorrow you'll wish you had started today.
  2. Just do it. You don't have to be the best, nor do you need to be perfect to start your blog or social media posts. As you grow in confidence, your posts will get better and before long you'll be putting out regular A Grade content.
  3. If you're persistent, you'll get it. If you're consistent, you'll keep it. Sounds logical but think about the feeds you follow, which ones can you name and which ones have you forgotten about? My money's on the ones you remember first are those who put out regular content. They are more than likely the ones with the higher number of followers.
  4. Stop waiting for the right time. Time isn't waiting for you. See point one above and remember the words of Nelson Mandela, "It always seems impossible until its done".
  5. Supporting another's success won't ever dampen yours. In fact it'll strengthen it. By liking or following the pages of other people in your niche, you'll start to see what they're doing and you'll learn what works. As a bonus, you've got content delivered right to your desktop.
  6. Often we can't see the wood for the trees. Cross populate your content, don't just use it on one platform. Repackage if necessary, but repost your content over all your platforms.
