Top 5 Best Practices with Video Marketing

It doesn't matter if you're new to it or an old hand. You should be following these 5 steps each time to ensure your videos hit the right mark each and every time.

·       Start with a BANG! and immediately grab the viewers attention.
You don't have 90 minutes to set the scene and slowly immerse the viewer in your story, you've got about a second before they scroll on down!

·       Your audience is not dumb!
You've probably taken your time to build up consumer awareness and confidence in you and your products, don't blow it by allowing your customers to feel tricked or misled by your offers or your videos.

·       Provide highly useful information.
Following on from above,
create trust between you and your visitors when they understand that your content is useful and relevant.  It only takes one bad egg to spoil an  omelette.

·       Tell a story.
Viewers want to follow a logical path when watch your video. Don't leap back and forwards between points and or topics.

·       Keep it simple.
It is Simple Social Media after all and not a PhD paper or thesis.
Know exactly what you are wanting to say, how you want to say it and the order in which you'll be taking the viewer though the video.

·       BONUS point.
Use subtitles. More than 90% of video content is consumed on mute and if your video is all talk and no read, you've lost your viewer.
